Design2Build was established in the year 2013 as a design consultancy office in the Philippines registered as a sole proprietorship led by Denise Barbers, who studied a 3-Year Interior Design Program in International Academy of Design and Technology (IADT), Toronto Canada, now known as RCC Institute of Technology. She also trained under Manosa Architects and DDC Architectural Studio, now known as DEQA Design Collaborative in the Philippines.

In 2015, D2B won the Golden Globe Annual Award For Business Excellence: Best in Construction Project Management Service Provider (Metro Manila).  Design2Build has equipped designers both aspiring and experienced to create diverse, healthy and safe spaces. It has successfully contracted and delivered both residential and commercial spaces. Residential projects that include condominiums in the business districts of Metro Manila and a residential project in Sabah, Jakarta. Commercial projects that include restaurants, bars, Air BnB hostels and a resort hotel.

In 2023, D2B kicked off its year by launching a 6-Month Consultation Program tailored for Start-up Construction Businesses, with a specific focus on the Design and Administration Department. The program aims to provide guidance, support, and expertise to help these new construction businesses navigate the challenges they might face in the early stages of their development, particularly in the areas of design and administration.

The details of the program may include:

1. Duration: The program lasts for six months, providing an extended period for the participating start-ups to implement the recommendations and strategies provided.
2. Consultation Services: D2B likely offers various consultation services to address specific needs of the start-ups. These services may include business planning, project management, design optimization, administrative process streamlining, and more.
3. Expert Advisors: The program might involve experienced advisors or consultants who specialize in the construction industry and possess knowledge of design and administration processes. These advisors would guide and mentor the start-ups throughout the program.
4. Customized Solutions: The consultation program likely tailors its guidance to suit the unique requirements and challenges faced by each participating start-up, recognizing that different businesses may have distinct objectives and circumstances.
5. Skill Development: Apart from offering immediate solutions, the program might also focus on skill development for the participants, empowering them to handle future challenges independently.
6. Networking Opportunities: D2B might facilitate networking events or connections within the construction industry, helping start-ups build partnerships and collaborations that could potentially accelerate their growth.
